Tucked away in the leafy surroundings of Lane 8, Koregaon Park, VHC is a delight to visit for foodies and art lovers alike. The restaurant has an outside seating area which is quite green and serene and away from the hustle bustle that usually one encounters in KP. I have visited this restaurant on two occasions and had the pleasure of visiting two different art exhibits in the VHC Art Gallery attached to the restaurant, the most recent one called ‘Fugitive Dust’ by M. Pravat, curated by Sabih Ahmed (on display until 2nd May 2021).

With my favourite ‘Black Gin’
The global cuisine served at VHC is consistently delicious and I would go so far as to say that their lamb burger is the best in the city! It comes with gherkins and blanched cucumber tzatziki. You have to try it. Another favourite of mine is the ‘Black Gin’ cocktail comprising activated charcoal, vermouth, Campari and lime – it just hits the spot. And this is coming from a martini snob like me (oh, I am very particular about my martinis!) The mushroom truffle risotto and the seafood spaghetti are also highly recommended. If you are really hungry, you can start off with the Pan seared goat cheese grilled vegetable salad or the seafood saffron soup. For dessert, try the delectable Lemon Cremeux.
The service is pretty quick and efficient. No unnecessary waiting times. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful in wading through the colourful menu. The restaurant is quite innovative and recently had a special 5 course meal setting for Nowruz celebration with Persian food, music and drinks. It’s worth visiting the place from time to time to check out their new offerings. Visit https://www.vhc.art/ for more information.
